• NSW Fair Trading have a regulatory requirement for an additional Unit of Competency to be completed as part of the Certificate of Registration authority.  This Unit of Competency is not part of the CPP40521 qualification, but is included as an additional Unit in the training.  Therefore, there are 19 Units of Competency in total that are covered in this training program.
• NSW Fair Trading have a regulatory requirement that nominates one of the Elective Units (CPPSCM4085 - Handle strata community funds held in trust). 
• The other 3 Elective units have been nominated by ACOP after consultation with the strata management industry and SCA(NSW) for the most relevant UoCs for daily strata management agency practices.

ACOP clusters these 18 Units of Competency (UoCs) into five training modules:

1. Certificate of Registration (4 UoCs 1 additional UoC that is not a part of the qualification)

• CPPSCM3017 – Work effectively in strata community management
• CPPSCM3020 – Souce and extract information from strata plans
• CPPSCM4009 – Access and interpret legislation in strata community management
• CPPSCM4028 – Identify and analyse risks in strata community management
• BSBWHS307 – Apply knowledge of WHS laws in the workplace

2. Strata Management Agency Practices (8 UoCs)

• CPPCMN4008 – Read plans, drawings and specifications for residential buildings
• CPPSCM4034 – Implement strata community management agreement
• CPPSCM4040 – Develop and monitor maintenance strategies that contribute to asset life cycle
• CPPSCM4044 – Coordinate repair and maintenance of strata community property and facilities
• CPPSCM4045 – Facilitate strata community meetings
• CPPSCM4047 – Implement procurement processes in strata community management
• CPPSCM4083 – Terminate strata community
• CPPSCM4087 – Facilitate operation of strata community committees

3. Communication in Strata (2 UoCs)

• BSBOPS404 – Implement customer service strategies
• CPPSCM4056 – Manage conflicts and disputes in strata community management

 4. Financial Management (2 UoCs)

• BSBINS309 – Maintain business records
• CPPSCM4086 – Coordinate preparation of strata community budgets

 5. Strata Trust Accounting and Insurance (2 UoCs)

• CPPSCM4084 – Administer insurance for strata communities
