What are the CPD Requirements for NSW Property Agents?

It is now the final 2 months of the 2025/26 CPD year for NSW property agents. You can only complete CPD via interactive webinars or attending face-to-face classroom sessions. NSW ...Fair Trading has determined that agents cannot complete their CPD via online self-paced learning. Your CPD requirement varies depending on the type and categories of licence that you hold. For those who hold a real estate licence, your requirement is most likely 7 hours of CPD, consisting of a 4 hour session with mandatory topics set by Fair Trading plus a 3 hour topic on Residential Tenancy Reforms (yes that’s for sales agents as well). If you focus on either commercial property or business broking or on-site residential property management, then you have slightly different requirements. There are also specific requirements for stock & station agents, and also for those who hold a strata managing agents licence. If you hold more than one licence, for example a real estate licence and a stock & station licence – you need to ensure that you cover all of the nominated topics.
