Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

All individuals holding a Class 1 Licence, a Class 2 licence or Assistant Agent authority (Certificate of Registration), must complete the CPD specified for their licence or certificate of registration category each year.

The current CPD requirements commenced when the Amendment Act (the Reforms) commenced on Monday 23 March 2020.  This means that the current CPD year will be from 23 March 2021 to 22 March 2022, and then by these same dates in March every following year.

Note that your CPD requirements are no longer linked to your licence renewal date – CPD must be completed in the CPD year (23 March to 22 March every year)

Assistant Agents

Previous Current….since March 2020 What You Need to Do
Assistant Agents

(previously referred to as Certificate of Registration holders)

 12 points Must be actively working towards their licence qualification

 

Must complete 3 Units of Competency every year from their relevant Certificate IV qualification (Property or Strata)

Class 2 Licence

3 hours of mandatory CPD topics

      • Covid Safe Business (1 hour)
      • Disclosure of Material Facts (1 hour)
      • Supervision Guidelines (1 hour)

3 hours of elective CPD topics

    • Topics listed relate to agency best practice issues
